Go get you some boiled crabs at Richard’s. It’s a hole in the wall along the vermilion but you’ll be thanking me later. They replace your crab if it’s not full.

Abbeville now is apparently a mini New Orleans in terms of crime. Get in, get out.

There's a Walmart there so there's that.

Everyone's hit the main restaurants, Shucks, Dupuys, Riverfront and Cajun Claws.

If you want to grab a drink somewhere other than Dupuys or Shucks bar then Culpepper's or Maurice City Bar are good spots. I think Shucks still has live music on Fridays, it'll usually have a pretty good crowd.

It's not in Abbeville, but I'd recommend driving to Suire's to eat lunch one day. It's a hole in the wall in the middle of no where, but worth going to.

Maurice does have a Pinchers restaurant now, Ive heard good things but no experience. Oh and btw, the Arbys in New Iberia is better than that shite show at Camino’s

Pick up some Steens syrup and stop off at Shucks.

Traveling there, be aware the po-po are very vigilant on Hwy 167 between Lafayette and Maurice. The will light you up!

El Caminos has good salsa baw. And their burger is pretty solid, I don’t know that I’d recommend getting anything outside of that though.

pretty much every mexican place around here has that shitty salsa. they must be buying from the same food service co. I prefer the salsa fresca that chuys makes in house fresh. I havent eaten anything at el camino other than the steak. Steak is usually good.

From Duson take 343 to Leroy.
Pass some of my relatives toward Ridge just wave at them.
Turn right 699
Then turn left on 343 and wave to my relatives in Leroy all bunched up in Leroy.
Have some other relatives on 343 near Meaux which might want to wave to them.
Takes you to Hwy 14 and turn left going back into Abbeville.
If you go the other way on 14 toward Kaplan I have some relatives that live on 14 you might want to also stop by and say,”hi”.

My grandfather from Leroy, was named Henry, who had a brother who lived in Henry named Leroy.

He also had a brother who married a lady who’s last name was Meaux, and they lived in Meaux.

Louisiana musicians.
Warren Storm or Schexnider, was from Leroy and moved to Abbeville.
He wrote some music with Bobby Charles who lived in the area.
