You seem really mad? Did the court bend you over after your DUI?

you didnt have just a beer or two, by your own vewrsion you had a 12oz, 16oz, 16oz and each of those 16oz = 1 1/2 beers so in reality you had 4 beers worth even though you only drank 3.

that isnt falling down bumpuing into walls drunk (well for some people it is) but it is enough to be undeniably drunk, even to yourself, and you were way too drunk to drive safely because your reaction time will be way off, even though you can get where you are going without issue.

Depends on the person. 4 beers does nothing for me unless it's some IPA with 13% alcohol

And I’m betting you had a few more drinks than stated. Maybe a shot or two

I guess only drunks get in fatal wrecks? Stupid cop logic there...
Not even close. But the comment I replied to referred to only being slightly intoxicated not being a life-changing experience.

That logic is shallow and inaccurate.

You probably just missed that part. There’s no need to default to name-calling and ad hominem attacks.

Try to have a better day.

I can't wait for self-driving cars so that this whole topic will become obsolete.

Do you think Alcohol played a role? I imagine you have been at fatal accidents with stone cold sober drivers and their life was forever changed Heck maybe the answer is absolutely no alcohol. Just straight any booze and you are in trouble. As long as it was consistent I could deal with it
Nah, I’m not saying don’t ever drink anything at all. It’s just that the “it was only two beers” logic doesn’t apply when sometimes all it takes a couple of drinks to reduce reaction time or influence decision making, both of which can lead to deadly accidents.

That same bad decision can be made without alcohol, sure. But BAC guidelines aren’t arbitrary numbers - they’re based on NHTSA and DOT studies. If a bunch of doctors and engineers say you shouldn’t drive above a certain BAC, it probably means something.

woah now. I drank about 4.5 beers last night and it was the first time I've done so in almost a year so my tolerance is no doubt less than this guys and I could've easily driven if I had wanted to. The guy owned up to. Don't be a dick.

no its not, drunks make it home all the time without getting in accidents, it doesnt mean they are driving safely doing it.

I can drink an 18 pack with the best of them. He smelled beer on my breath. Had nothing to do with acting stupid or anything like that.

Bottom Line... I'll say this again... BE CAREFUL. An innocent day of having lunch with friends has turned into a nightmare for me.

YES, I WAS STUPID... YES, I AM AN IDIOT.... YES, I GUESS I AM A LIGHTWEIGHT (I'M NOT) but all I am trying to tell people in my thread is to be careful.

Who doesn't go out to dinner and have a few drinks? Some of baws are acting like I murdered someone.

Even if you are a hypocrite - I get it, you are perfect but one day a little traffic stop can/will be something much bigger.

Thanks to the ones who actually support me in this thread.

Do I think I did a boneheaded decision? YES! Am I embarrassed by my bad decision? YES. Do I think I made the mistake by not blowing? I am not sure. But at the end of the day, I have Uber (Which I should have used) and I work across the street from where I live. They can suspend whatever they want, I will get by just fine BUT I will not have a DUI on my record. That's why I did not blow.

Well at least you can admit you screwed up. Good luck with everything and thankfully you didn’t kill anyone.

It’s not having the drinks. It’s driving home after on your own when you know you’re over the limit. You drank to the point where you knew you were over the limit, but here we are in 12 page thread and you’re still bitching about how you’re mad you got caught breaking the law and endangering others
