Interestingly, there are two Goose Island Breweries in Chicago. There’s the one large one that works on their commercial front, designing new beers, etc, to be mass produced.

But there’s also a really small one that makes completely different beer from its sister factory, and only sells that beer in its pub.

What are the chances they knew it was illegal before the initial offer went up and they knew they’d have to change the reward?

If they didn’t, they need a new legal team. That’s something that gets hammered out early on. Especially when booze is involved.

The one in wrigleyville?? If so, I had the best Imperial IPA there a decade or so ago. Very few things stick out to me long term, but that shite was amazing.

Anyone who puts this in with the craft beer craze has no clue what they are talking about. Selling out ruined them. Goose Island was right where you wanted a beer company. Locally owned with experience, following, and good pricing due to being past the initial phase.

I know this is true, because Goose Island isn't a hipster craft beer.

rented that place out for a party when the kid graduated from DePaul, not a hipster craft brew by a long shot, they've made some really local good beer for a while, hope the Bud thing doesn't ruin it
