It has nothing to do with the aircraft. It's about the crew that work on these planes and the passengers that tend to pick the cheapest flight option.

You said crew and I said you get more experienced pilots on a Spirit or Frontier regional flight than you would on a Delta Connection.

It usually gives me dirt cheap, terrible connecting options in the results. Trying to book flights to Charlotte at the moment and it is giving me overnight routings via Denver of Newark in the search results.

skyscanner.com is way better than Google Flights

Pilot is a small part of the crew.

Trashy people don't travel to Denver baw
Denver is Frontier’s HQ and its primary hub

If it’s a direct flight and short and you don’t need WiFi, nothing wrong with saving a few hundred

99% of people are hoping for an experienced pilot and you're more concerned about if they'll put enough ice in the cup for your Coke.

Flying is one of the biggest "get what you pay for" that there is out there

I Wish. But, Not always. We flew business class international to Scotland/Paris and back to the States. Same price… Virgin Atlantic going there was amazing- private pods, food outstanding, stewardesses were gorgeous and friendly.

Flight back was an old delta plane, shitty first class “full recline” seats and the crew sucked.

Not at all. I’m telling you why people don’t want to be on these flights. It’s about the quality of person who is on the crew and the quality of person who snags the cheapest ticket. It’s pretty simple.

I can see it in incognito on Google Flights, but it’s not in ITA Matrix. ITA also removed the ability to filter by alliance late last year I think.

I've flown Spirit, it wasn't horrible. It wasn't good, but a direct flight from NO to LA in 4 hours? Makes for a pretty solid 2 hour trip.

It’s interesting how trashy flights have become. Fares need to be raised so much that they’ll fo back to greyhound.

1.5hr flight Spirit was the cattle car I expected

Didn’t spring for the big seat in the front or the exit row seat.

Spirit

I like Spirit. Gets me to New York and back for cheap. Really don’t want anything else.

Spirit is fine for a flight up to 2 hours. Just always have a backup ticket 2 hours later on a more stable carrier that you can cancel for a credit.

Do not cancel until you a taking off.

The few times I flew frontier i had no issues and the passengers were no trashier than any other airline

I have flown on both and Allegiant quite a bit and my take is they are no better or worse than any other airlines. All of them treat customers like shite. Why we put up with is beyond me. It has gotten so bad and intolerable for me that I do everything I can to avoid flying. If I can drive it in 5 hours I am certainly driving....and if it is only 10 hours I am most likely driving it.

I know folks who are, or used to be, enamored with Southwest. I never saw it....other than including baggage they were always about like all the rest in my experience. They have stopped that now, baggage is not included in their basic fares. They also used to have the most idiotic seat "assignment" in travel industry history...I saw where that is also ending because why in the frick did it ever exist to begin with LOL??? We just flow to Honolulu on Southwest and families were scattered throughout the plane because of the open seating silliness....small children sitting between total strangers and no one willing to move and people going back and forth up and down the aisle the entire flight to retrieve shite out of their carry on...its insane

I'll pay more to not fly SW, and i used to be AList+ or whatever.

Their boarding process is shite, and it's going to ger worse. Now there will be 50 preboarda every flight...

The main crew member I care about is the pilot. I would rather have a more experienced pilot on a Frontier Airbus 320 than a less experienced pilot that is still flying Delta Bombardiers. I'm willing to bet most customers never put two and two together when they book regional flights.

That's very cool. You're not most people.

Most people aren't thinking about the pilot other than "is he competent?"

Most people are worried they are going to be seated next to a loud fat person. Or being served by someone rude.

Current process is terrible but assigned seating should mostly resolve the preboard issue.
