I mean I don’t think the guy should be convinced. Just saying I don’t think I would’ve shot in that instance based upon what I saw in the video. I didn’t hear anyone yelling to leave the property or threading to call the police. I would’ve escalated the engagement more slowly before shooting. Agains, based on the information we have.

Turn he audio way up and you can hear it.
And what good is calling the police gonna do when a man is trying to break down your door after being told to leave multiple times, armed with who knows what?

I hope he wallowed around in pain for awhile before giving up the ghost.

And you or your daughter may be dead instead.

Looks like he did. He definitely rolled or wiggled around for a tad bit before dying.

I probably wouldn’t have shot the kid. Clearly the dad was just sitting there waiting for an excuse. Should’ve just kicked his arse imo
Then what when the pistol appears from under his sweatshirt? As the protector of your family, you don’t let it get to that point. That dude wasn’t coming in there to talk.

I turned it up, didn’t hear anything but some mumbling. I didn’t say calling the police would’ve helped but the threat may have helped. All I’m saying is that there are steps of escalation that could’ve kept everyone alive and possibly the kid in jail. Maybe you still have to kill the kid. What I’m saying is that I, personally, would’ve taken a few more steps before opening fire before the door was even all the way open.

Grand jury voted 8-1 not to indict.
The fact that one person wanted to put this father in prison for protecting his family says a lot about how far this country has fallen over the last 10 years.

mmmmmhhhhh mmmmmmmmhhhh
Bleed out you bitch.
An arse whooping probably would have sufficed, but as soon as he hit that door he was looking to pay a grown man price. fricked around and found out.

Yep, unfortunately now days you will have at least one anti gun nut in any handful of random people.

Dude. Once you reach the point of busting through somebody's front door then you've reached the point of escalation where you should get shot.
There is no more warnings or talking at that point.

Go deeper down the rabbit hole in this one. Dude's family is crazy and is very active on the internet and the town it happened calling the dad a murderer, saying the daughter caused this, etc.
They seem legit crazy too.

Legally sure. This guy obviously knocked and rang the doorbell. That doesn’t indicate someone on a murderous rampage to me. Again, I wouldn’t vote to convict the shooter in this instance, but personally I wouldnt shoot so soon based upon what we know here.

It’s faint because it’s muffled Audio I assure you he was warned prior to breaking down the door.

Dude 22 is not a fricking kid. This is about as clean a shoot as you can get.

Welp, maybe some of the family will come and get some, too.

I mean I didn’t like that he was shot in the back
That said, the kid probably would’ve tried to break in in the middle of the night if he’s willing to do it while people are telling him he isn’t welcome. Better to leave no doubt and not live in fear of this dumbass

I would have only shot once then waited a few seconds before emptying my 9mm pistol with a 50 round mag.

Agree with what your'e saying, but not mad about the outcome either. Kid should have been taught better. Could have saved his life.

My friend committed suicide by cop years ago. As a close friend, I was unable to see the situation with an open mind for a long time. I was so angry at the cop and the sheriffs office for supporting the cop. The sheriff even went on the news and said his friends should’ve noticed that he was going downhill and helped him before it came to that. I was super pissed for a long time. It wasn’t until three or four years later that I finally understood that the cop was a father and husband. He was just trying to get home that night. Honestly, if I had been that cop and in the same situation my friend put him in, I’d have done the same thing.
That family will need time, a looong time. They’ll eventually open their mind and realize this guy was flat wrong.
