This is correct as far as I know. It also seems that "Your welcome" has been replaced with "no worries".

From my interactions on the net with folks not from the US, it seems to be big in the UK and Australia.

I frequent a dart site and that is big in the UK and have seen it many times in their comments sections or IM area.
