That's awesome! The moment I do anything IVF related...insurance doesn't cover a single penny of it. My meds alone for one round are close to 5K out of pocket. Average is 15-20K a round of IVF(that includes meds).

Who insured you? Ours said it was “elective” and didn’t cover a single cent of any of it.

Depends on the insurance company and the state he is in. Certain states have laws that mandate insurance companies have to have some coverage for fertility treatments like IVF.
Sadly...AZ is NOT one of these states.

The positive with IVF is if she get multiple quality embryos you can keep them for future transfers. Or siblings down the road.

wife has great insurance and works in DC sooo.. 
yea insurance covers fertility and she gets like 8 weeks paid maternity and like 16 weeks overall

I think Massachusetts has the best coverage. I've read a few stories of people moving for the coverage.

I believe that. Insurance cost and coverage should be considered when accepting a job. I've always consider it a salary benefit.

I also would read of many women that traveled out of the country for IVF. Even with having to stay there for a couple weeks and travel costs...it was STILL much cheaper than IVF costs here.
Friend of mine...she had a relative travel to Spain for one round of IVF for that reason. And she got pregnant.

Or if you want a plan that covers it that is fine but your plan should be a lot more than mine
