Preserve is about as close to Fallen Oak condition wise as you will find there, Fallen Oak is closed at the moment for more upgrades.

Your wife would love old town BSL, so yea maybe. It's not a beach town per say, but it being on water makes it nice. It really depends on what y'all want. Bay Town Inn is a nice place to stay...I think. Sycamore house for a nice dining experience.

Gulf Hills is fun and challenging but not on par with those other courses mentioned. Plus it doesn't have a driving range which 9 times out of 10 crosses it off my list. I'm old and need to warm up.

Grand Bear is the next best option after Fallen Oak.

Boot...I started a thread on the Ole Miss board a couple days ago trying to get a little more info on Biloxi and the golf there. May be worth your time to read.
This is the second consecutive year I've made a three day short trip down there. I'll be staying at the White House again this year in Biloxi. Loved it last year, so didn't want to ruin a good thing.

My favorite is the Oaks in Pass Christian. It's a time ugh we course than most of them. The Bridges is fun and has some great scenery. You need to place your shots though.
The Grand Bear is nice and open. I like playing it also.
Shell Landing and Windance are also good options
I haven't played The Preserve but I have heard lots of good stuff about it.
You have a lot of great options for the money

I don't know if any of you have played Shell Landing recently, but the greens are painfully slow. I played out there last weekend and it was terribly frustrating. The course is in really good shape, but the greens were so God awful slow. That and the sand traps hardly had any sand unless you were right by a lip or something.

Gulf hills used to be more challenging but the storm cleared out a lot of the big trees. I live right next to it and play it all the time. Small fairways and the threat of hitting people's windows with errant shots are the real challenges.

Last time I was at Shell(about 3 months ago) the greens were in relatively bad shape for such a nice course.
