Yea that price is for the bladeless procedure. Double lasers. Whole thing takes about 20 minutes for both eyes. I’m setup to do it in a couple weeks

I am curious about LASIK.
I am 49 and never had a problem with my vision until 5 years ago. Now I have to use glasses to read or do anything close. Pretty much anything beyond arms length is pretty. Don’t need glasses for driving or watching tv. Is this something that can help me? I hear conflicting opinions on it.

Your eyes can't handle SCUBA or high altitude after. How are you going to be spec ops if you can't HALO and SCUBA?

Get some Ranger Specs and be proud.

Had it done last year. The best part was the amount of sleep I got immediately after. Took a Valum at 9am, procedure at 10am then took an ambien and was asleep by noon. Woke up to piss around 3am then fell back asleep until 9am.

I remember the antibiotic drops stinging a little but it was temporary.

10/10. Would do again.

My cousin got lasik and his eyes swelled up to the size of golf balls. Make sure you have a reputable optometrist

Yeah you sure as hell don't go for discount eye surgery.

He probably didn't do what he was supposed to do and got an infection

These don't all go perfectly. I know a couple of people who had to have some corrections.

These threads are usually the same. 99% of people say it was unreal and they have only ever had some dry eye afterward. I am mostly in that camp, but it did screw with my contrast sensitivity. It is more difficult for me to see in dark areas than before and I feel blinded without sunglasses on a bright day.

Not to sound like a dick, but how do you have these questions with surgery in two days. Dr Wu answered all of those questions at the first consultation.

I always liked to get a patients perspective on how it went for them before I have surgery, too. Kind of like a real person as opposed to the doctor that is going to make bank if I do it. Lol. Seriously though, hearing other people's perspectives seems sorta normal to me.

I am the exact opposite. Can't see crap at a distance unless the contacts are in. I wouldn't risk screwing up the "can see at a distance" deal if I were you. Cheaters are really cheap!

Consultation is free and they will tell you if your a good candidate for it. Go stop by and they will give you a yes or no and all the information on the procedure if you are a candidate

Had mine done over a year ago. They messed up the calibration on the machine and ever since I can't be outside without sunglasses and I see starbursts off all artificial light. Oh, and my eye sight still sucks.

They gave me my money back

Besides to see better. Any pain involved? Recovery time? Is it worth it?

Very little pain if any. Depending on how bad your eyesight was you should see a huge improvement. I had it done 8 years ago for distance. Distance is great but now have reading glasses, especially for low light reading so that wasn't expected and it kind of sucks when threading a hook or something.

Biggest negative I had about Lasik was the increased sensitivity to sunlight. Bright sunny days and a reflective surface like water or white concrete was tough for a few years. Had sunglasses everywhere.

I deer hunt so it was great seeing distance clearly.
