Definitely buy a mini-van. Super practical and only a problem if you are insecure or vain.

having kids in college for 8 or 9 straight years
By the time your kids turn 18, college will be totally different than it is now. It will not be for everyone and it will not be expensive.

other than that we love little kids and our first two are pretty cool.
There's nothing like it. Nothing you trade that next kid for (money, free time, lavish vacations, etc) is more valuable than another human in your family.

The main thing is I"m almost 40 and I'll have kids in my house until I"m damn near 60
Who knows. You might live to be 150, depending on how medicine advances.

This is stupid. Adopt a kid from right here at home. There are plenty without schlepping to some third-world shithole to pluck one little kwatne or koshi like you're Angelina Jolie and her shades of brown rainbow.

i am just impressed you had the first one :rimshot:
our first one was difficult, that is why we waited 5 years before we had #2. now i have no explaination as to why we waited 10 years to have #3

I want more kids. I have two, but one is an 11-year old stepdaughter. So, I didn't really get to enjoy raising her. I want another son, but I'd be ecstatic if I had a little girl. A boy would just be easier (cheaper).

easier with out a doubt
cheaper, eh. it seems to be a wash for me. between all the sports crap jr plays and the clothes/shoes/makeup my oldest buys, they are equally expensive

I only said cheaper because I have a son now. I could just save his clothes and give the new baby boy those clothes. Same goes for toys and stuff.

Me and my wife went from two to four kids. That was one hell of a shocker.

i think you interpreted me wrong.
I have children. there's a big difference between the dependency of a 3 month old the dependency of a 2 year old.

Should've pulled out. Everyone makes mistakes.

I have 4. Aged 14 to 3. After two, the number becomes irrelevant. Spend a good deal of time mediating arguments between kids. A lot running everyone around to activities. A lot of time cooking and cleaning. And a lot of time yelling at them to clean up their own mess. Between all that, you have the precious moments that make it worthwhile.
