what angle you going to use?

one where half the billboard shows the statue coming down, attached to the forklift.

and other half shows person laying in blood, and a makeshift countdown for murders, for 2017 under mitchs watch? And a message about mitchs priorities?

I was thinking Mitch Landrieu being buttfricked by an obelisk. And underneath:

"I'll do anything to distract you from my failures."

that also works, but would probably be taken down, or forced to be taken down.

Something calling him a race pimp and noting that he voted yes on rebel flag license plates would not sit well with his buddies

If you guys want to keep the statues just buy them and open a private museum.

if they aren't looted or stolen by that time sure.

As they stand now they are in an abandoned car lot in New Orleans East.

I would want to keep it classy to prove a point that's it's about history and not racism. These men were products of their time.

So maybe a quote next to a pic of general lee.
"I am of the opinion that all who can should vote for the most intelligent, honest, and conscientious men eligible to office, irrespective of former party opinions, who will endeavour to make the new constitutions and the laws passed under them as beneficial as possible to the true interests, prosperity, and liberty of all classes and conditions of the people."

If a GoFundMe or the like was started I would throw in at least $50. Hell I know a few Yankees up here that had a blast hanging out next to Lee Circle for Mardi Gras- All I have to say is he's going away and they'd throw money in.

Or this quote by Lee which contradicts the whole premise for taking them down...

"So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that slavery is abolished. I believe it will be greatly for the interests of the South. So fully am I satisfied of this, as regards Virginia especially, that I would cheerfully have lost all I have lost by the war, and have suffered all I have suffered, to have this object attained."

Too wordy for a billboard.

I would be in for a few bucks but it needs to be classy.

I know was just making a point. But the beginning of the quote I posted from Lee on slavery would def work.

A negative billboard just feeds his persona with the left. That's the plan. He WANTS any attention, even negative.

Real protests involve money. If everyone is that pissed, spend no money in NOLA. That reduces tax income. Some establishments may have to close, or lay off people.

But he knows that won't happen. pro-Monument People will still go to Jazzfest, to the Quarter, Saints games, ride in Endymion, eat at restaurants, paying 200K for a lot in Lakeviewr, etc. Money talks.

So, while a billboard may make some feel good, it's changing nothing. The city is now the domain of the far left. Accept it or avoid it.
