Spent the last 10 years saving to buy a new house in Florida. Moved 18 months ago, signed a contract about 9 months ago. New house should be finished in about 3-4 months. We have been so excited to move into our new home close to the beach and enjoy slowing down in life.
We are moving into a big neighborhood and have been reading the resident facebook page and damnit. I dont think we are going to fit in there at all. A lot of busy body women bitching and complaining about every aspect of the neighborhood and the people running it. We are more low key, keep to ourselves and do our thing kind of people. Im hoping that the actual experience is way better than what we are readying or we wont be there long.

Where I live now the neighborhood fb groups provide lots of entertainment. People always bitching about something.

Well this is a fairly new massive planned community so it’s all HOAs here.
Latest bitching….some people have spent like 3-4k getting those permanent lights installed underneath eaves. Can change colors, etc. HOA changed rules and now only lets you have those on during certain holidays. People that got them are not happy
The ones I’ve seen around the neighborhood actually don’t look bad at all. Personally don’t see the issue. But to read the arguments on fb…..entertaining
