GMC is one of the weirdest marketing success stories I've seen - in particular their Denali sub brand.

Spinoff. I'm semi in the market for a new truck and was checking out the local Chevy dealer's inventory. Half the trucks were Texas edition. Who the frick wants a Texas edition if you dont live in Texas?

+1

I've owned one and it was an utter piece of shite. Didn't even make it to 100,000 miles.

Ive owned 2 sold one to my dad at 80k and he is still driving it at 180k, and sold my other at 90k and i still ran like a top. So since my sample size is double yours, you are lying.

ETA: holy crap im replying to a 2 month old thread, i have already replied to.

I don't understand the price difference between a Chevrolet Tahoe and a GMC Yukon. If the trim package is the same..what's the difference (other than GMC typically being about 10K more).

When we bought our Tahoe we looked at GMC and Chevrolet...We didn't need a Denali or Chevrolet Premier trim package. Price shopped all the way to Alexandria, La and on average GMC was 10k more than the Chevys. I didn't understand that...and still don't.

Probably because it's not factual.

They add more "luxury" items to the GMC to try to differentiate it.

Sadly it is. You haven't been shopping lately. Sometimes the GMC price was as low as 5k more...but mostly (on avg...10k) more.

So the finish wears off the AC buttons in three years instead of two?

This is wrong, but OK. You were probably comparing a Tahoe LT to a Yukon SLT, which is not a proper comparison.

6.2L v8 in the Denali for starters. Plenty more. Go look at their websites to get educated.

Oh so one engine size that neither vehicle had makes up the difference for $10k? Thanks. You've explained yourself perfectly. Both had 5.3L...(the ones we looked at).

Denalis only come with the 6.2 in the SUV.

Ok. So which dealership do you work at?

Also...I know the SLT and LTZ trims are the same...

So 10K explains the engine...and we didn't need a 6.2L.
