The fear of weather based on human behavior is simply part of the Democratic playbook. In the 70's the dems claimed we were causing the next ice age.
If you go back and watch An Inconvenient Truth with Al Gore, we should all be dead by now.
The real truth is that the climate does what it does, and we control very little of it. Hop on a plane and fly coast to coast and look down at how vast the empty space is compared to what we actually occupy. There is no way the human race is making much of a dent in what the climate is doing.
"But, but scientist say", horseshite. Long ago scientist said the Sun revolved around the Earth, and they would hang you if you said differently.
There are so many different variables that influence our climate, no modern scientist can even come close to understanding what is actually going on. It's basically like trying to explain how a car works by examining only the glove compartment, then claiming you are an expert.
TLDR: Chill the frick out. Either we are all good or all going to die. Ain't shite we can do about it, so have fun and enjoy yourself.

I really miss the good old days where environmental discussions focused on air/water quality, efficiency, and cleaner practices. Now we bitch about the weather.

Well that's because the US is actually doing pretty good in those areas.
Which is why any discussion around global warming and what to do about it here in the US is pointless. The US isn't the problem.
