No, sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant like the air quality of the stuff you and your family breathe. Quality of life and health both go up with less pollutants in the air, it's something that shouldn't be political.

This is unfortunate and a huge argument against solar farms, it's not an argument for fossil fuels though.

Percentage of climate change believers who support new nuclear plants is probably in the single digits.

I don't think that's true, but (for the sake of argument) if it were then these people need convincing and fast. Solar and wind won't get us off fossil fuels (and like you said, they have their own shortcomings) and we need to get nuclear back in the good graces of the public quick.

I honestly dont get some of yall's objection to green energy

Just one area: Let’s say I cover most of desert in solar panels. Now, the heat that would have been reflected back into space is captured in the panels and stays on Earth. What does that do to our biosphere?

there was a mini ice age in the 13 or 14 hundreds.

Which came right after the medieval warm period!

And the medieval warm period was preceded by the Roman Warm Period!

Amazing.

Hey alright!!!!

Can we also agree that we need to get off fossil fuels and supporting shitty regimes in the middle east?

We can’t get there without negatively impacting the US economy or causing even more environmental problems through battery manufacture, so I can’t support. Although I do want us out of the Middle East.

So you're on the record, once we find economic alternatives to fossil fuels and find more environmentally friendly battery technologies, then you're fully on board with the move to green energy.

Welcome to the hippy team, my new friend. Your hacky-sack is in the mail.

If there was actually an increase in sea ice, we could talk about the potential effect. However, sea ice is at a modern times low. It is not increasing.

How is it ‘green’ when forests and natural habitat is being wiped out in the South to build solar farms?

Also forests being wiped out to grow corn and sugar cane for ethanol. Running big tractors/equipment, spraying toxic chemicals on the crops and trucking the product to very inefficient ethanol refineries.

The global warming alarmists brought us ethanol as a solution. It is worse than a fossil fuel.

I learned this like 20 years ago in a climatology class. Its why I always get a kick out of people yelling ohhh its cold out what happened to global warming.

If the ice continues to melt it will cool the oceans and even a slight cooling would frick most of Europe up.
