Girlfriend Brought These Plates Into My House, Wants Me To Use Them

Should I nip this in the bud and tell her I'm not using these stupid dapper animal plates or should I just suck it up and use the plates? She moved my white plates to the top cabinet shelf and put these in their place.
She's already talking about using them with friends over this weekend. I'm going to take a lot of shite from friends over these stupid plates. I also don't want to hurt her feelings. These plates are among her favorite things.
