quote:Check out the link I posted about about creepy stories from the outdoors/woods. A ton of interesting stories in there as well. You kinda got to shift through the bullshite but there are plenty of stories that makes you wonder what the frick it is out there. Also many people from all races, and all places over the Earth all mention having this insane fear overtake them at times, and to always follow this feeling and not ignore it.
Fascinating

Nurse here, and I’ve got one good story to tell. 3-11 shift in hospital intermediate-care unit; two beds to a room. End of shift giving report to night nurse when one of my patients who is pretty ill (but alert and oriented) begins yelling out/praying in a mixture of Portuguese and English, beseeching something not to take him. Run in and we ask what’s wrong and his eyes are wild and fixed on the far corner of the room near his room-mates bed. He says the Angel of Death is there and a bunch of whatever nonsense - I don’t really understand Portuguese fluently. No one else sees what this man is seeing.
I go home. I return the next day and while my patient is there, his roommate is not. Come to find out his roommate coded and passed about an hour after my patient saw the Angel of Death. The hairs on my neck still stand up every time I think about what happened.
I have had a fair amount of experience with end-of-life/hospice situations, and it’s not unheard of for patients to hear/see loved ones who have long-since passed. So there’s a positive note to end on lol.
