You're in nursing school. This is a medical condition which makes me wonder, for several reasons, why you didn't take advantage of the internet and look it up for yourself. One reason is curiosity since you are entering the medical field and living with someone who claims to have this condition. The other and more important reason would be to ensure this condition does indeed cause 100% infertility as she informed you, which it does not. It "can", but it can also cause problems during pregnancies, so there is still good reason to read up on it.

I doubt the doc told her she couldn't get pregnant because that's not the case. He probably told her it could be difficult or chances were slim or something like that.
