Do what your doctor tells you and you'll be fine. Don't lift anything and don't fire your weapon until cleared.

I was going to wear compression shorts which is what I use when I workout. The biggest challenge will be to keep the little kids from jumping on me.

Above anything else...make sure you do this. Lock the door if necessary
I caught one in the groin 2 weeks post-op while playing soccer with my toddler and that did NOT feel good. Definitely avoid this for a few days or you'll likely have swelling.

I don't regret it because it's nice to be worry free, but I've thought about almost wanting a third kid but I don't think I want it enough to get a reversal.

There has been no issue with drive or performance for me. Doc said to have about 20 ejaculations before going and he gave me two cups to shoot into so he could test them. knocked out those 20 in about an hour an a half...jk. Compression shorts are the way to go, and just relax, it is not that big of a deal. It just feels like you have really tight abs for a day or two after. I had a buddy tell me it was the worst 3 weeks of his life, but I went to a party for an LSU game the next night, and returned to normal activity 2 days later.

The best advise I can give is get the pain med before the procedure so you can take one when you leave the office. I did not know to do this and it was about 1 1/2 hours before I was able to take one and I was hurting BAD
