Why are you asking for horror stories before your procedure?
Posted on 2/16/15 at 8:35 am to LSUSUPERSTAR
frozen peas and whatever pain meds they prescribe. it's not that bad as long as you stay in bed for the weekend, you'll be fine Monday.

Anything frozen.
Don't pick up anything for 3-4 days.
Don't bust a load either for about a week.
That's where I messed up.

I think I'm taking a whole week off of work because I have a ton of sick time to use.

Misdirection is required. Call him in your office, point at the ceiling and ask him if he taped that up there. When he looks up, throw your stapler and hit him in the balls.
He can then confirm pain, or lack thereof.

I already have that from all of my vaccines over the years.

Autisms aren't like chicken pox, you can get them more than once.

Will the autisms make me smarter? Because I can use some of that.

Ask for a bottle of 60 Norco and send it to me. Then take an aspirin or two, you'll be fine.

Do what the doctor tells you to do...keep 'em on ice, ibuprofen or pain pill they prescribe, sit on your rear for 48 hours. Don't do anything to exert yourself. You may think you feel alright, but just chill the entire weekend. Should be good to go on Monday.

1. Frozen peas
2. When they tell you not to lift anything for a few days dont. I picked up one of my kids the next morning...my dudes ballooned up big time. Very uncomfortable.

I've always wondered if women become less sexually attracted to their man once they know he isn't able to have kids. I would bet a lot would be that way since women are fricking crazy.

Get a jock strap the hold them up firm afterwards. My sack turned black. I still get some pain down there sometimes if I blow a big load.

Seriously, I had mine done on Friday and was back at work on Monday. Don't lift shite and whack it all the times they say so that you are cleaned out. Good luck and it isn't that bad.

This. Wear it for at least two weeks. I had no pain and did nothing for three days after procedure. Stayed on the couch and rotated frozen pea bags every hour or so.

Thats me. Google search for Vasectomy Pain Syndrome. It's very real, although no one mentioned it to me at the time.
After 5 years it has now subsided to the point where it doesn't really hurt all the time. But it hurts to get an erection and ejaculating brings tears to my eyes.
There's no real treatment or cure except to take anti inflammation medicine and or pain meds, which I refuse to do.
Interestingly with me it didn't start until about 6-8 months after the procedure. Then it reached a peak about 12-24 months post op. Now, it's not as bad, but it seems to have plateaued at this level for the past couple of years.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's a very real situation. It affects about 10-15% of men.

Use Ice packs or frozen peas. Don't pick up anything.
Park in recliner. Wince when you move any at all. Ask her if she would get you a beer and a ham sammich, since you went under the knife for her. Maybe go pick up a pizza.
Milk it for all it's worth. It is an opportunity that you won't have again, since one cut does it all.
You do know that for a couple or three weeks post surgery you can still knock her up?
Don't go unprotected until doctor checks your ejaculation out and pronounces you Neutered.
Don't talk to your dog about it before hand.
Oh for mine, I had to talk to two different people (who explained it and made certain I understood) and sign forms, then back to the room. I was on the table, exposed with doctor sharpening his fillet knife and the door opens and in walks the nurse who looks at the chart and then begins asking me if I knew one person after another and saying they were good friends of hers. Then another nurse comes in and they chat about all of the people they know who probably know me also.
I'd have been a lot happier if they had stayed the hell out of the room. To my knowledge, neither one helped the Doctor at all during the procedure.
I think they were there to just look and report to all of their friends later.

Definately for your first day out and about after the 48 hours keep the boys secure. I didnt and went to work in boxers in the middle of summer and it caused issues that put me back down for a couple of days.
