Geez, $2.50 is getting up there, and there is plenty of profit to go around
That what your liberal arts prof told you?
Because that's just not true lol

The average price around me is $2.43. I am pretty sure it was higher earlier in the week since it seems like I saw most places having prices in the $2.50s, I saw $2.59 somewhere earlier in the week.
Anyway, right now, prices are actually about where they are suppose to be. I've read that it could possibly go up around $3 by the end of May, but gas goes up when it is hot outside.
Are their any indicators that prices are going to have a drastic price change?

20 cents are really going to make you broke?
Over time it takes a hit when you are buying 26 gallons at a time.
That is an extra 5.20 a tank. At a tank a week, that is an extra 270 a year.

False. It's not where it was, but it has absolutely started picking up.
I guess the company wide bonuses and raises for the first time in 3 years is just coincidence....

I can handle $4/gal. Then maybe I'll be able to get a used Denali for cheap.

Some of us are tired of watching friends and family members lose their jobs.
Maybe you should have picked a better line of work then. I mean it sucks...but no one else outside of the cities and states affected really cares about people losing their jobs in oil and gas. We just want cheap gas.
It’s ok....gas will go back down eventually and the rest of the country will go back to being happy because of it

Lol, the world revolves around oil and gas but ok. I'm good with my 6 figures and only working 6 months a year.
All industries have swings. You can't just say "should have picked a better line of work" when the chips are down.
My dad is the director of peri-operative services at a hospital outside of Birmingham and they just laid 25 staff members off. But hey, guess they should have picked a better line of work...
Maybe you should have picked a better line of work so you wouldn't have to worry how much gas costs.

I don’t think anyone who works in healthcare can throw bombs like that.

You can when those chips being down means it is better for everyone else. Oil and gas people lose jobs means cheaper gas for everyone. People can travel more. Other businesses are affected by cheaper gas(automobile industry for one).
If people in healthcare are losing their jobs..,,it doesn’t benefit the public at all. Doesn’t lower cost of healthcare.
