To hell with the first amendment and what not...

Not that IGAF, but this will not be good for Georgia’s economy if Delta up and leaves for NY or Virginia.

If they were to ever leave, they'd go to MSP before anywhere else most likely. They already have 12k employees there in corporate offices.

Or back home to Monroe.

Not really seeing how the first amendment applies here. They aren't doing this to Delta only.

This thread is horribly titled

Would never happen. Two of the highest taxed states in the country. Moving a business, especially of this size, isn't like picking up and moving your house. Its not going to happen, but if it did it would take years and a shite ton of money.

To what other groups does (or did) delta airlines offer discounts? Retired military? Police and firemen? Scout Leaders? Organic Farmers?

This. Why should NRA members get a special discount? I could understand military and first responders but why any special interest group? Delta or any airline could simply support those groups through their philanthropic arm.

Haven't flown through or into there in forever so I have no idea. Just know it's a massive FedEX hub that's basically a ghost town from being a NW hub back in the day.

It's not? Google says it's just north of the airport.

AA is moving from DFW to fort worth soon, but Southwest is at love field. Doesn't it make better sense to be close?

In 2018, it doesn't really matter. UPS is headquartered in Atlanta with their hub in Louisville, for example.

Delta won't leave regardless, but they don't need to move their hub to move their headquarters.

Effectively saying GTFO Delta. Not sure if that's smart

The state of Georgia knows that Delta will never stop flying out of ATL. There’s no skin off their back.

Yeah it was a ghost town. They're redoing the terminal with new shops and stuff. I think they're consolidating terminals into terminal B.

They are renovating.

I'd love to see MEM be a hub again, but it won't be a Delta hub.

It's not a special discount. It's sales and marketing.

Just like they offer discounts to fly to the annual Shriners convention. Or perhaps a special package to fly to NOLA for Essence. Same thing here, special rates to fly to annual NRA conventions.

Whatever on their part. I think it was stupid on Delta's part to make a big deal about this.

Delta: If we act like virtue signaling pussies we will get more libtard customers and prevent people from being evil and violent.

Not related to tax break, but as a frequent Delta flyer, I'd like to see them re-open a hub in the middle part of the country. Either Memphis or somewhere in Texas would be nice.

I'd would likely switch airlines if I moved to the south unless it was to Atlanta.

Do you think the necks in the Ga. legislature have considered what would happen to the economy there if Delta decided to move their hub out of Atlanta?
Forward thinking doesn't seem to be their strong point.

How is not offering a discount to a specific political convention “picking the liberal side?”

My company informed us yesterday that we had to stop using Delta. Which is going to make getting to the east coast from Monroe pretty damn difficult. And kill my medallion status. Thanks Delta.
