I do wonder why this upsets people so much. As someone pointed out on the fb post, china is the world leader in human rights violations, yet people think a silly sign is a big deal.

My guess would be that most of the negative commenters have actually never been to George's. This is the way it usually is.

Especially when considering that evidence is increasingly pointing to the possibility that this shite originated in their own biolab. But muh hurt feelings.

Yep. Ole Smokey is actually a shrewd guy...the "crazy like a fox" guy. He is a good marketer. He may not have intended for his sign to garner this attention, but he isn't going to shut it down either.
I have golfed with him a few times. He has golf tees that have "George's" printed on them. He would take several out of his pocket and scatter them all over every tee-box for other golfers to find. Pretty clever

There were about 5 guys from some ac company eating on the patio. Maybe 10 people inside, all older white people. I guarantee you none of them would care that George's put up a China Virus sign.

For his George O'Neal location, after the St. George vote, he had a radio advertisement. Something along the lines of "It's such a great place, they named a city after it."

Poor decision making for stating a fact?? It's not ownership's fault that some sensitive pussies get upset...personally, I wouldn't want anyone like that in my restaurant and I doubt many in B.R. truly care, it's only a handful of soy or their feminist girlfriends!
