Uh hell no. Marthas family was RICH. Thats where the basis of Georges money came from. He also was a land surveyor prior to going into the revolutionary army and politics. He had quite extensive exploratory surveying trips into Ohio valley and had land holdings from the new territories as a result. Original landgrab.

Dude was awesome. He talked the British into pushing the natives back, giving him a country. Then he talked everyone into not paying them back and kicking them out. His troll game was strong. Surprised he didn't accept King status he was offered.
