Michael Scott can live in peace.

One of the few positives of my relationship with my dad was watching boxing. I loved Tuesday night fights. My dad was so racist that we weren’t allowed to buy Michael Jordan shoes, but he never had a qualm about my favorite boxer being Foreman. The man’s presence was calm and kind.

Correct. My brother lives in the same neighborhood and they were acquaintances. Told me Foreman was a polite and gracious individual with a great
Big smile. Very friendly and endearing.

If you had to take a punch from someone, you’d choose just about anyone who’s ever lived before choosing George.

RIP.

When he was up and coming he met Walt Frazier and Jim Brown and they gave him the brush off. He resolved never to do that. From what I've read of him the menacing guy was an act and the genial guy you saw later was his real personality.

Grew up in Houston's Fifth Ward, a tough neighborhood in the segregated South. He faced significant challenges, including poverty and dropping out of school in the eighth grade.

Dude was a punching machine. Could grill some burgers too.

RIP to a living legend.
