Naw. Have always had a spot for Ireland.

Their support of Palestine doesn’t concern me. It has more to do with the split/struggle with the UK.

But, that said, proceed to be a bitch.

The guy has a good bit of frick you money and he moves to France? shite, buy a ranch somewhere in Wyoming and let your kids get fresh air, hunt, fish, and do some real work to keep them off their iPads. Enjoy the wide open space.

Meh. I’d trust Ireland before France. Love that place and the people are the warmest I’ve met.

Did you venture outside of Dublin?

If so, what were the best places you visited?

Yeah, I met several expats in Barcelona last summer. Great city with good food and lots to do. San Sebastián is pretty fabulous too. And Spain was definitely more reasonable than France or Italy.

Tuscany is gorgeous, and the food is incredible. Plus Florence is close by. I did a day trip from Florence to Montepulciano to Montalcino, and had pasta and wine at every stop. Incredible.

I was in Massa Marittima and it was fantastic. I have a client in the area now and will be back to visit again in mid January. Last time we drove up from Rome but next trip we will drive down from Florence.

In the greater Paris region, 69% of violent crimes on public transport (including assaults and harassment) were committed by foreign nationals in recent years.

Nationwide, foreigners accounted for 84% of thefts with violence, 62% of sexual violence cases, and 43% of assaults in 2024-2025 data.

Homicides, violent thefts, burglaries, and vehicle thefts also show overrepresentation.
