Deldrick Shykil Fowler, 22, of DeQuincy was sentenced on one count of counterfeiting obligations to the United States, U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley said in a news release.
Fowler was also sentenced to three years of supervised release. He was arrested on February 13 during a traffic stop where he was found to be in possession of several thousand dollars of counterfeit bills, KPLC reported.
The U.S. Secret Service used surveillance equipment to observe Fowler on August 12, 2014 at the Isle of Capri Casino in Lake Charles producing the fake money in a hotel room, according to evidence presented at the April 30 guilty plea.

If you are printing counterfeit money in order to gamble, you may have a gambling problem.

We used to use the LSU laser printers to make $1 bills and take them to the strip club. We just roughed them up a bit and no one ever noticed.

I think the Secret Service has better things to do than get me on something that happened 15 years ago.

Where is Chicken? This man just admitted to committing a serious crime. I'm offended that everyone else is not offended.

They kinda freak out over the counterfeiting deal.
I wasn't being a dick, it's just something that maybe would be better not posted.

Imagine everything you've done in a hotel room being documented on video somewhere.

you'd be surprised. these are government zeros who are looking for simple work until retirement day comes, they may spend the next 20 years investigating you just so that they can tell their bosses, "yep, I'm still on that case."

Wait, can they legally have cameras in the hotel rooms? It seems like that would violate privacy laws.
