We were the apathetic generation, when it came to politics

We just assumed that politicians actually loved America and would fight to keep it strong and free like Reagan. It took us a while to figure out how wrong we were.

And boomers are great parents? The generational blame game is dumb.

I'm solidly Gen-X (1974) and my kids are 7 weeks and 21 months. So don't blame my arse. Lol.

Gen X‘s children are Gen Z.

Boomers were born in 46-64.
Gen X were born in 65-83.
Millennials (Gen Y) were born 84-02.
Zoomers (Gen Z) started in 03 and will be complete next year.

Gen X is better than the Generation before and after them. However, there is something interesting with Millennials. The Reagan babies that Boomers had and the Zillennials (99-02) the Xers had are much better off than the Millennials in the middle (89-98).

Zillennials are all over the place. They are very much like their Gen X/Reagan baby parents in that they reject the typical and seek out for themselves and want to break new ground, but some of them want to experience too much of what their elders did and that’s why you have old problems rising again that were solved decades ago (Civil Rights, Communism, etc.)

Too late for millennials. Most consider 1980-1981 to be millennials.

Maybe the younger half. The older half have millennial kids.

That would make your dad Gen X. Those born in 1965 are the beginning of Gen Xers.

My dad (54) used to tell stories of having to put toilet paper in his underwear to reduce the impact of the arse whippings he got when he did something bad.

I used to know when I was going to get an arse whipping and I'd put every pair of underwear I had in my room on under my shorts

The politically correct term is co-parenting.

Not me. Not the parents of my kids' friends. I'm nearly 50 and my oldest is 16.

Nah it was one man. The dude that came up with the food pyramid. That dude has literally caused genocide by obesity and the sugar cane lobbyists. They are worse than Pablo and El Chapo combined

Sick people that have created generations of problems.

If your dad is 54, then he is a Gen X’er.

Plenty of people born in 1965-1975 have kids born before 1996 though.

Sure, but op is labelling an entire generation. Can't have half a generation and the minority of those carrying the load of infamy.

55 and I agree with you. My wife and I were raised much the same way. Both of our kids are adults who are upstanding citizens with good manners and respect for authority and elders. Two grandkids now being raised the same way. WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!
You must have triggered a bunch of snowflakes from the looks of all the RAs you got.
