Seems you have to keep producing, which you have. Knew a family in Arkansas, 1 set had 14 siblings and the other had 16 siblings. Think the ladies were fertile till their 50's or 60's.
Seems it is based on when you start. If you have not dropped the first kid by 32 or so, odds go way down. At least that is what I have been told. Maybe it is a simple if you love the other person, God rewards you for that.
