One thing I commend the younger generation for.

With that said, I do have a couple buddies in their 40s over the last year that just woke up one day and decided to quit drinking. They’re a lot more pleasant to be around.

Hope alcohol goes the way cigarettes did and basically disappears completely outside of trailer parks.

Wonder how many of those people who said yes only drink about a dozen times a year? I only drink during holidays, my birthday, and LSU games. Seems like a lot of my friends fall into that category too.

This is horrible news. Probably why we have incels hanging out playing video games at mom's house instead of getting drunk and chasing tail....or at the very least using it as a lubricant to talk to other people in person.

Reduce the drinking age
Cut the excise and sin taxes

few whiskey drinks and getting some quality sleep

I cut out any alcohol Monday to Thursday specifically because it contributes to crap sleep.

Booze ruins my sleep, too, and I get terrible depression the next day.

Im just at the age now where the recovery is twice as long as the buzz, so it's just not worth it.

Hangovers get worse over time including anxiety. Don’t miss those days.

How old are you? I'm 42 and drink about twice a week. I have no issues with a hangover the next day. Drink plenty of water the day you drink and you should be fine.

I've started doing the same thing but I sleep like a baby on Friday and Saturday nights.

Whiskey has a good way of keeping me in check. If I drink too much, I'll be exhausted the next day and it's not worth it to me to keep drinking. If I drink way too much I'll get sick the following morning with a bad head ache. If I chill out, eat a good meal and sip just the right amount, I'll feel pretty good and have a great night's sleep. I have definitely over-indulged on more than one occasion though and not been able to sleep.

If I drink beer or any mixed or sugary cocktail, I may as well not go to bed at all because I'll be up all night.

It's not the hangover, it's the mental. I suffer from a lack of serotonin sometimes, and alcohol can exacerbate it.
