And how do you know this? Are you a zoologist? Or did you just read the Wikipedia page and are acting like you know what you are talking about?

i've seen documentaries on people who own exotic animals and they always have gabon vipers/puff adders on there

they ALWAYS say how docile they are. that's one reason why they're owned by so many exotic fans

I feel like the list of most poisonous snakes always changes to suit the context and location. According to one TV talking head, it's a sea snake. According to some crazy Aussie frick on youtube, it's a red-bellied black snake. According to TigerDroppings, it's something else.

First of all, never trust any snake expert that calls a snake "poisonous." It's only poisonous if you are eating it's head.

2ndly, the most umm poisonous snake is easily 4 words: God Damn, and Cobra Kang.

LINK

^^ that is a link to the video of the crazy snake guy (not the one who was killed by a stingray) when he finds a roughly 14-15 ft King Cobra in the wild and stares it in the eye and touches it on the back of the head.

I am at a loss when it comes to the "most poisonous" snakes, and I don't know where to turn.

My answer, does it really matter????? I'm not turning anywhere, I'm gettin the frick out of dodge.

Kill it, kill it with fire.

Also, in my humble opinion, it's all relative. All venomous snakes have the potential to kill the frick out of you, although some can do it a lot quicker and with more certainty. With all of that being said, if my punishment was to be locked in a 10 by 10 foot room, and I had to pick from a red belly, cobra, sea snake, rattle snake, ferdelance, or a black mamba...... I'm definitely not picking black mamba.

I had an experience with one 14 years ago while I was on a mission trip. I don't wish that on anybody.

Only acceptable answer.

I'm no snake expert, but the most expensive non firearm hunting related item I own is my pair of knee high kevlar snake boots, because I am scared shitless of them.

That Gaboon is a big fricking snake.

I'd burn that whole complex to the ground.
