opening doors can cause changes in pressure and things to move around. Was your front door open or closed when you did this? Take notes of this stuff and try to recreate what happened.

I'd like to know as well. I don't believe in ghosts and the like, so I think there is some explanation, provided OP isn't pulling our leg.
Is there anything besides flying clothes hangers that makes you think it's haunted?

flying coat hangers could be an indication of gay ghosts outraged at his gauche wardrobe, I suppose it could be worse if it were flying shoes, which would be a sign of immense disrespect from Islamic ghosts

Plastic coat hangers. IDK what kind of laundry machines but I don't think they're American made. Detergent is Shout, which is SC Johnson.
