Frying turkey 101. Always remain calm if your kid comes close to the fryer.

Always stay alert. Keep your head on a swivel. Lives are at stake. But ALWAYS make sure someone is filming.

Another tip:

Always deep fry your turkeys completely frozen. Under no circumstances should you try and thaw them before cooking.

Guy is about to drop a turkey into a fryer that is considered the most dangerous method of cooking a turkey due to its potential to splash/spew insanely hot liquid oil all over the place. The naturally-selfish kid is coming outside to ignore everything her parents are doing and whine and cry about some inane issue that only young children care about.

That guy did exactly what any good parent should do in that situation.

(I’m using this space to respond to the a Twitter comments that are criticizing this guy.)

Sheer dumbassery to have that setup so closed to that door and in such a confined space.

When I fried turkeys back in the day, I was out in the middle of the damned yard with nothing within 20 feet from any direction.

He was about to let out a very loud "JESUS CHRIST" if you watch closely.

This type of shite cracks me up.

Best tip I've ever heard is that 5w30 oil is ideal for turkey frying.

I've got one of those as well. Makes a damn fine turkey, even though I smoke mine these days.

I prepped my bird this morning for a good roasting. Being the scholar that you are, I wondered if you knew why the neck is shoved in the pelvic region and the giblets in the neck? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Yes, and make sure to use plenty of oil. Fill it to nearly the rim before dropping in your turkey

Took me several years to realize turning off the propane just before dropping, and then re-sparking once it was submerged was the smart way to go about.
