My tried and true technique is to hold the bird above the pot and just drop it right in. If you lower it in slowly then you run the risk of it cooking unevenly.

What happens when the pot catches fire after you turn it back on?
There is a fire station less than a 1000 feet away.

1) 12-15lb bird - anything bigger is more at risk of either overflowing the pot or not having enough oil to cover the entire bird while frying
Before brining, put your bird in your fry pot. Take a gallon water jug and use to fill pot till bird is covered, refilling jug as necessary. Write down gallons used. Use same amount of oil when you go to fry.

No, you have to make sure to slowly lower it down into the oil. Just make sure you measure out the oil right

Just go buy a Honeybaked Ham.

No need to measure the oil. Just pour the whole container in. Works every time.

Had a dude try to deep fry a whole ribeye slab last week for their party.
Of course it didn’t turn out and he just ruined it. Inside was just raw as hell

Once turkey is submerged cook it at 325 for prescribed time. It won’t burn.

Depends on your burner. Anywhere from 375-450. The less btu's the higher the starting temp.

He just didn't do it right.
