Fruit Flies seemed to have disappeared

I know a few weeks back, everyone seemed to be having the same issues i had with the fruit flies. My problems with them have seemed to go away. Haven't noticed any in the last 5-6 days. I think i ended up with no less than 1,000 in my apple cider vinegar traps. Hoping all of you guys have had the same luck.

We had them back at the start of summer and the apple cider vinegar traps worked great. Got rid of them all in a weeks time.

What do you mean the "seem to have disappeared?" You set up a trap for them that worked. I don't know what the confusion about disappearing is for

Well there were thousands of Arizona Bark Scorpions in my neighborhood a month ago, I would kill 100+ a night and not make a dent, but they also have all gone into hiding because the weather is cooling down. Probably the same with the fruit flies except I would guess they die when it gets cooler.

Well, Ed, we all had a huge problem with them after the flood and no amount of traps seemed to do the trick. They just came in waves. But it seems they have disappeared, err no longer coming back. Let me know if this explanation is too complicated for you.

They're sort of like love bugs. They have a certain season (or two) and then they're gone.

I was fighting what appeared to be an impossible battle. I killed way more by hand than with the traps. Thought I had eliminated them. Went about a week with none then had a few buzzing around.
Caught one in an apple cider vinegar trap earlier this week and had one still buzzing yesterday. They do seem to have significantly dropped off though from what I was battling a month or so ago. frick those things to death.

Ours have dropped off too. We still catch maybe 10 a day but it is way down from what it was for weeks after the flood.
