I doubt anyone outside wants to see you in your jammies.
More likely they just want to make sure no one is home before they break in.

Whatever reason....just has always creeped me out. Don’t like the feeling that someone can easily see inside.
Always find it odd people in the neighborhood that always have their front window that faces the street with curtains open at all times, even at night. So that anyone walking or driving by can see all inside your home.

In my house....
I can’t believe this mean-looking German Shepard turned out to be such a wimp. And this huge Labradog a complete whore for head scratches and attention.

I was interested in replacing my current front doors with iron doors (which obviously include a lot of glass). The $10,000 price tag changed my mind.
So, yes I would have glass in my front door if the price was right.

If you are worried about people looking in at night it ain’t a “mansion.”

I feel for you man. On my first house that I built, we had a front door with a big thick glass panel in it. I was young and dumb. It looked great but was the most impractical thing in the house. You could see straight in the house and into the living room. ZERO privacy.
My next house, there was no question as to which type of front door to go with. SOLID! Security camera catches the entire front yard and front door so I can tell who is ringing the door bell.
What a difference!
