No point in bringing it up now. And don’t feel guilty for not saying anything back then. It’s probably best that it unfolded as it did. If you would have told him back then, the wife would have called you a liar and he would have taken her side. It’s better that he eventually caught her in the act.

What would you have told him? Until she actually came out and asked you to have sex, it could all be explained away by her as innocent. If he was already suspicious, then it may have made a difference. But I suspect it would have put a strain on your relationship at best.

I had a similar situation where there was a situation that was iffy at the time but telling in hindsight. The guy ended up divorced due to her infidelity as well. I told him about the incident later, saying that in hindsight the situation gave me pause. He had no issues and I'm sure your friend won't either.
