Friend says he can knock out someone in UFC

Watching UFC, friend says he can knock out someone in the lighter weight classes out. I’ve tried explaining that these guys are trained to kill, but he still won’t give. Can anyone help me explain this to him?

Way back when the "Tough Man" touring deal was going on I had an acquaintance who thought the same, I paid his entry fee and a group of us drove him to Mobile to watch.
It was well worth it, everyone but him had a good laugh and now every time he gets drunk and mouthy I show him the tape and he STFU real quickly.
No bar room brawler can stay in the ring with a trained pro in peak condition, it aint happening.

How big of a baw is he? Connor McGregor fights at about 145lbs and I think there's smaller weight classes than that. He might have a shot if he's got 70 or so lbs on someone.

He doesn't stand a chance at all. I have a friend who does amateur MMA locally, and I can't even touch him. So no, your friend doesn't have a shot in hell against a professional fighter.

I had a distant family member like this back in the day, he was a big guy and talked a lot of shite. This is back around early 90's when they used to have the Tough Man competitions come through Mississippi and he and another guy he talked shite about decided to enter so they could put the gloves on and get it over with once and for all.
