Video of the Little Rock tornado from chaser Trey Greenwood
This is a great example of why I say that if you have high end severe/tornadic storms forecast to hit your area at around any rush hour, either knock off early for the day or delay leaving until the threat has passed. One of the factors not within your control, and practically unable to be planned for, will always be traffic. You can't solve that problem on the fly, and your situation can go from bad to worse very quickly.
If that interstate had been at a gridlock things would have gotten very bad. I also wonder how many of those people driving were oblivious to the tornado that was churning just a mile or two away?

Any word on the chaser who was requesting an ambulance??
Yeah he posted pics of his wrecked Jeep and bloody forehead last night & said he was good. Also I don't think he's an actual chaser as his bio has just news contributor references. Think he needs to stay away from chasing before getting himself or someone else killed.

Good job everyone. We were spared in west ky albeit a few pop up tornadoes east of the Jackson Purchase. We were ready though.

Prelim survey is out for the northern Madison County, AL tornado and it was an EF3.
Not reported yet by NWS Huntsville, but was tweeted out by the robot citing NWS and EMA surveyors.

I don't know how reliable it is, but an account on Twitter named @WXFatalities has the total number at 21.

I think it may be accurate as they seem to link to local reports for each reported death.

We've had higher winds today than we had last night. Steady at 25-30 with a gust to 41 a few minutes ago. My area got split to the north and south by worse storms, so we didn't see too bad of wind with a gust early this morning to 39. I had just under a quarter inch of rain.

Obviously, the "3:25pm" is a typo.

@WxZachary
Severe weather probabilities are maxed out for Tuesday (this week).
This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given the broad scale synoptics of this system are so alarming.
Large and powerful system, with severe weather very likely. This could include more tornadoes (some possibly strong) in a similar region from yesterday.
Not what we need right now.
