Serious question. I know App St was a consistent successful FCS program for a few years before beating Michigan (what year was that? 07 or 08? I just remember it was around the year LSU won the NC in 07), but how big was that win for the program?
There were a lot of people who probably never heard of App St until that day.

Will likely be here for several more years.
There are several other homes in the general area that have metal roofing.
My house is what they call a story and a half. It has somewhat of an Acadian look to it. There’s not another one like it anywhere around.

Well, look at it this way. Insurance is really a bet. You’re premiums to them every momth is you betting that you will need them to replace whatever you have insured. In this instance, your roof. They’re betting that they won’t have too replace it. That’s the nature of insurance. So when the insurance company finally loses that bet and have to replace your roof, they minimize their loss by doing the replacement for the least amount of money possible.
This is why they won’t encourage you to replace an asphalt roof with a metal roof. Yes, the metal roof will give more value in the long run. But the insurance company is essentially “betting” they won’t have to replace your roof again.

Well, it's not really a metal roof, per se. It's shingles, but when we outgrow our foil hats, we throw them on the roof.
