The kids first party should be more of a party for the adults.
We had a big one planned and then had to cancel it, so its small now. But will still be fun. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone had drinks.

Not yet, we need to list our house and stuff first. It'd be awesome if it didn't rain every weekend so we could get yard work done.
And when I say we, I mean Boo can get yard work done.

and you watching him from the porch with a margarita in your hand. That's a very important part of yard work as well.

having to take a chunk of my saturday afternoon for a babies birthday party ruins my entire week.
I use to think this way, then when my friends started having kids.. And they were toddlers and would get excited about their birthday party and they tell their parents they want to invite you or ask if you are going to be there. Unless you have something going on that you have to take care of, is it really that big of a deal to find an hr or so to go?
During football season that's a different story, it all depends on the time of the party. But everyone with the exception of one person would have the games on anyway.. So stopping by, play with the kid for 5 mins, have a drink while watching a game with some friends.. It's not all that bad.

Afternoon, all! What's happening?
Someone insulted my dancing in the GMT and I guess I must have passed out from the shock.
Just black coffee.

natty?
I think Bud Light. It was suggested that I get something everyone could enjoy besides just my friends. Then my friends end up being the only ones drinking from the keg and they say "why didn't you just get Natty Light?"
1st kid - "no beer allowed at kids bday party"... my friends bring beer anyway
2nd kid - "why don't you just get a keg instead of everyone bringing beer"

We need to have a chat. The athletic department up in Boone has just lost it...
they're asking for five and 10-year commitments in giving from people and yet they're tearing up the parking area and can't tell anyone where they're going to be parking... Revolt!
The struggle is formidable
What's this all about? This is the HS your kids attend?
So they want people to agree to pay a certain amount for the next 5 or 10 years? Are they redoing the field or something?
