Plenty of Monroe folks on here. What's new in the hub of NELA? What bars are ULM kids hanging out in now?

You reminded me I need to hit the Mohawk for some oysters. Haven't been there in a while.

ETA and the yoga pants factor is high in the Garden District and North Monroe.

My grandmother lives there. 99 years old, come March. She's doing well, thanks.

Can still smell the dump on I 20 and the paper mill in West Monroe every morning. The smell of despair and agony

Visit friends there occasionally. Last year we went to the Airport Lounge, which is nowhere near the airport. A total dive, but a good place to shoot pool and play the jukebox. Also Genusa's, behind Forsythe Park, is one of the best Italian Restaurants around

Cooter Bay wasn't there ten years ago, and the only time people go to Sals is after Cotillion at the country club.

It’s not any more of a dump than the rest of Louisiana. People bash NLA that don’t visit here but honestly SLA isn’t any better, it’s just different.

J/K No worries. A friend of mine was one of the original employees at that place.
