Many moons ago there was a string of knife murders in the FQ during Mardi Gras. Turned out it was one of the hot dog vendors that pedaled those hot dog carts around and he was using the knife off of his cart. I had been existing on the corn on the cob and hot dogs in the Quarter for 3 or 4 days because it was cheap eats. Didn't know if I ever ate off of his cart but I got a pretty queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach when I heard. Could have been the Dixie beer.
