House built in 1955 never fully explored the attic until today. Found the helmet early in and was incredibly excited because the previous owner had lived there from 1955 until his death in 2005 and then his wife lived there another 14 years. Was almost shaking a couple times because I was sure he’d have some baseball cards (found an old antique catchers mask even). But no dice. Some cool old antique soldiers and other stuff (super old Ouija board) but no sports cards. Darn

Cool day nonetheless - helmet looks like a Wermacht M42 and it’s in incredible shape. Kind of excited to hide this in my residence for the next 60 years and have someone else find it

That’s pretty awesome. Watch it though, the media may claim that is a MAGA hat and try and tie you to Jan 6.

m42 single decal with what appears to be winter camo paint, (Or whats left of it)

Great find for you. $600+ since it has the original liner and chin strap.

Yeah, and it might even be Hitler's skull.

Holy cow! What an incredible find.

I would have been exploring an old attic as soon I got the keys.

I wish that I had one of my uncle's war souvenirs allowed to bring home. A 4foot string of Japanese gold teeth.

Those were some great finds of yours

Possible winter camo. But in the second pic it sorta looks like it might be sand camo, perhaps North Africa?

Little known fact, the Nazis were very into the occult and broke through to the fairie realm. dark fairies, using dark magic, would inhabit the hollowed out skulls of fallen soldiers, reanimate them and ride around using the skull as a cockpit, hence the leather strap.
