Was throwing the ball with my son in the yard and noticed this guy. He looks like he's in rough shape. There are two less fortunate ones that didn't make it.

Any advice?

Well, you've solved the first issue which is to provide a mini shadowbox for his remaining family's photos. Next, the OT needs to address your footwear.

Talk like Elmer Fudd while you crush it's skull with your boot.

Just slipped on a pair of old combat boots.

I don't want to keep it. Kids would like to. Just seeing what I can do to help him out before I release him.

I've heard to leave them be. Return it to the nest if you can. The mother will eventually come back. How'd the other ones not "make it"? My labs used to try to bring me baby bunnies and that didn't go too well for them either. Now they use a softer mouth when they bring me things like live fish they catch or nesting hen mallards.

I think the nest is in my yard. Something got two others. Already picked them up.

I just want to give the thing better odds to survive. Not looking for go fund me shite.

I'd feed it for a day or two then let it go about it's way

I’ve never had a wild rabbit live after I caught it

The mom isn't far, trust us, unless she's squished on the street. Put it back in the shrubs or woodpile nest and just keep an eye on the fella.

That's what I was thinking. I'll go into town in a bit and see if anywhere has some pellet food.

I did see online that mother's will still take them back. Just want to give it a better chance then sitting in my yard.

I’m no bunny expert but I don’t think leaving him in red can will be very effective.

Googling right now. I live on the edge of a small town. I have seen tons of them lately. I have a picture that's shite quality, but the other night, there was like 8 of them in my front yard.
