Nope. Child pornography is something that the public has a visceral reaction to. Would you want to be known as the prosecutor who let Subway Jared get off easy for possession of child pornography? You could wave goodbye to ever being a judge, a district attorney, a state legislator, a member of Congress, etc.
I bet he goes to jail for at least a year or two.

It's a legit question - does this guy like 6 year olds or 16 year olds?
If you don't see the moral difference then I can't help you.
And legally, well, innocent until proven guilty. Just like in cop shootings, just like in all cases.

And it has to be more than just 16 year olds, which if legal where he is, wouldn't be a crime anyway. He also can't have just blundered into some dark website. It has to be significant contact, and they have to have him dead to rights for him to work out a plea deal.

The question to me was boys or girls with no mention of age. Hence, my answer. If it was posed as you just stated I would have answered differently.
