Yeah, and as someone who was actually around when that stuff happened, I think he got railroaded.
False. One person got railroaded. It wasn't doug, goofy guy or not he was in on it. It was Tom. Tom was a nice guy who legitimately didn't have a clue what had occurred.

Was it this Jim Brown?
He was screwed by the Judge who allowed the FBI agents to testify regarding a conversation that they could not find their notes on and was not recorded.
Brown learned the lesson of NEVER talk to the Feds unless it is recorded and your lawyer is present.

So they went to LSU over Ivy league?

Not a good look to mention Billy Cannon. A convicted felon counterfeiter that whored his Heisman out to TJ Ribs for free food.
Well actually it’s Jim Brown who is also a crook so it tracks.

Sending mine to quaint little Hammond to get an SLU degree and get on with their lives!

I'm going to press "X" to doubt. They might have been able to go anywhere in the SEC on a full ride but not every college in the country. If they could've gone to an Ivy League on a full ride and they chose LSU, that is quite the blunder, and I personally feel like the Ivy League is overrated in some respects. You have to pay living expenses no matter where they go the tuition is the real bruiser.

Sure Jim. Actually it’s all about insurance commissioners going to prison for various reasons. And about politicians ripping off citizens with their lobbyists scumbag crooked buddies.

I remember it as he got caught up the fed’s hard-on for Edwin W. Edwards and did nothing much except the judge allowed the fed agents to say he lied to them with zero proof whatsoever.
That let the fed prosecutors protect their conviction stats to earn their next promotion.

Yes. He was dating a N.O. girl that was not all that attractive, but the family were multi billionaires.
