Searched, SIAP.

quote:

State Police said cyber-analysts assigned to the Louisiana State Police Fusion Center investigated a complaint about suspicious email activity originating from the East Baton Rouge Parish Attorney's Office in October 2014. In a news release late Wednesday, troopers said the complaint suggested unauthorized emails were sent between illegally-accessed email accounts belonging to several parish attorneys. The email accounts were accessed more than 40 times and investigators determined the illegal access originated from a home IP address belonging to Roper, State Police said.

"Evidence obtained further indicated Roper's use of her personally owned computer to illegally access the EBR Parish Attorney's email system through a proxy service designed to mask the user's actions and location," a spokesperson for the department added.

Nobody really cares. Even the people who pretend to care are full of it.

I do. I been following her bullshite. She needs to be fired and pay back the city money she made double dipping. She's not the only Parish attorney who claims not to "be a able to survive" on their govt salaries. Total bullshite. Some do care. frick her.

I thought this was old news? I realize the article was just written today, but they have been accusing her of accessing the parishes email accounts for at least a year now. I guess they finally confirmed it enough to issue a summons. I really couldn't care less about this 'scandal', but she sure as hell pissed off a lot of people in Parish gov't.

She was fired a while back, I'm guessing around a year ago.

Yea I see it now. Haha I didn't follow closely enough obviously.

The Metro Council fired Roper last September after some members accused her of unprofessional conduct, including recording private conversations and not working full time at her job.

After she was fired, investigators searched her house in December looking for evidence that she illegally accessed the Parish Attorney’s Office email server multiple times.

This is what also pissed a lot of folks off. The are paid pretty damned well to do very little. And have side businesses.
advocate article about their side jobs

conflicts of interest for the city-parish. The Parish Attorney’s Office employs 28 full-time attorneys, with salaries ranging from $50,000 to $120,000. At least 17 of the attorneys maintain private practices, according to vague conflict disclosure forms they sign quarterly.

An attorney for the parish was hacking the emails of other parish attorneys and used their accounts to send emails under their names.

That's at least multiple counts of identity theft, fraud and hacking.
