I mean a door basically has just one job. How, as a vehicle manufacturer, do you frick up a door's one job?

This was several years ago, but this actually happened to my Fusion while we were in Florida on a vacation. Wife got out, shut the door, and it just bounced off the car.. I looked at her like she was stupid, shut it myself, and it did the same thing. Had to tie it to the other door with a ratchet strap to drive it back to LA.

Brought to Hub City Ford and the service manager said, "yep.. there's an extended warranty for that." So I left the car, the next day he calls to say "we got the part but it's the latch for the front door, not the rear..."

So I exploded in profanity, asking why the hell they would change one door latch knowing that ANY of them could fail at any time

Yeah. On a job in Victoria, TX and it flung open while driving. Had to tie a cord to the door to keep it closed.

It's kind of surprising how many people have had this problem. All of them with Fusions.

I guess the OT doesn't buy Fiestas or Focuses.

This happened to my truck. The driver door came open unexpectedmy. They said it wasn’t covered under the recall. A 2017 Ford for reference. It was a $600 repair IIRC.

They said mine wasn’t part of recall. The only way I could get the door to stay latched was cycle the locks. It would stay but you had to do that each time you opened it.

A lot of big companies were big Nazi supporters. A lot more than people realize. Well they did basically win the war, hitler escaped to Argentina, and though operation paperclip they basically took over our military

You know what he named the town they established for black Ford employees? Inkster.

It was named in 1863.

Just a bit before ol' Henry was doing anything in Detroit.
