Last week the Bluetooth kept disconnecting, and screen function has progressively gotten worse. It will not connect to bluetooth, the push button dials for radio will not turn unit on or off now. The wire connection for sync was my way around Bluetooth, and now it will not function.
All push buttons are delayed a minute or more. And gps quit today.
Obviously it’s fried, anyone else see the issue?
I have master reset a bunch of times, disconnected fuses and battery to reset, it’s toast.

APIM module is bad and needs to be changed, what type of vehicle? Dealer has to run a diagnosis and have the module fail and generate a code for it in order to order a new one.

It's a Ford. Fords are pieces of shite. Lazy UAW workers make them

It’s a common problem with new Fords.

The fix involves a Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, or GMC.

Sync 3 system? I had a similar problem with mine about 2 months after I bought it. Brought it to the dealer and they checked it out and said some module was fried. They ordered the part and replaced it under warranty and haven’t had any issues in 2+ years since

How common is this in real life? About to get an expedition and this kind of stuff frightens me.

I'm not talking about you but I know several Ford people. From staying in the shop continuously to burning up going down the road and they will still be %100 Ford.

This is exactly what I will never understand. Brand loyalty to a fault and will still stand there and defend it

Haven't owned a Ford since buying a Bronco (driven Ford trucks for work, though, and wanted one again). Bought one new last year and had ZERO anything in the first year. I've never had that same experience with any other make, no matter what country of origin - US, Japan, Germany, UK. The truck also functions in an intuitive way that most comps don't, IMO. To each his own, I guess.
